SUPPORT GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS FOR FAMILIES

Support groups offer participants emotional support, advice and guidance, connections to community resources, and practical help. Certain groups teach different skills, such as relaxation, anger management or social skills. There are support groups for parents, for brothers and sisters of people with disabilities, and for people with disabilities themselves. Some support groups last only a few meetings, while others are ongoing.
