BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Some children with disabilities have unusual behaviors that occur as a result of their disability, ranging from repetitive movements (e.g., flapping hands) to making noises, to hurting themselves or others. These behaviors have many causes, and there are different ways to help people change their behaviors, such as therapy, diet, medication, communication techniques, and changes in the person’s environment. The following professionals have experience helping children acquire appropriate behaviors.
