Joining the Springfield 15K/5K
in Springfield, VA
Join us for the physical fitness, the personal endurance, the camaraderie, and more importantly the beneficiary, The Arc of Northern Virginia, a non-profit organization that provides advocacy and direct service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Whether you have a Corporate team, warming up for a bigger marathon, or just want to run; any organization or community group can enter Northern Virginia’s premier corporate challenge.
Corporate and Community Teams consist of 5 to 7 runners in the following divisions:

All Men

All Women
-
Coed
-
Community Open
The entry fee is $500 for a team.
All teams must consist of 5 to 7 runners. The top 5 runners score by place. Corporate Coed teams must have at least two females in their top five finishers to qualify. All teams will run the 5K course.

Held in conjunction with the Springfield Days festival, this is a signature race event for southern Fairfax County. Picture a thousand runners and walkers starting along side our soon-to-be Springfield Town Center, then flooding onto the wide expanse of Commerce Street — Springfield’s ‘main street’ in the commercial district. Spectators cheer, live music fills the air, and determined smiles mark the faces of all those who have taken on the challenge. At the end of Commerce Street, the 5K’ers reverse direction to take it all in again, as they return to Lee High School for a terrific track finish. The 15K’ers separate from the 5K field at that turnaround point, and continue the adventure, dropping onto the Accotink Creek Trail, winding their way to Lake Accotink Park, taking in some lake trail, then exiting the park into the beautiful Crestwood neighborhood. The final miles click off in the Lynbrook neighborhood, before runners drop back onto Commerce Street to make their way to Lee High School for that great track finish. The Patriots’ Cup Corporate Challenge will follow the RunSpringfield 5k course outlined on the course map.

Walkers! If running a 15k/5k is not your thing…Join us on the 1k walk. Stollers & wheelchairs are welcome!
